Pointless prize #FS2021coffeesnobride
I posted this in the Pointless Prize thread but creating a separate thread just to make sure people are aware.
I will once again sponsor the Coffee Ride pointless prize, but this year I'm calling it the Coffee Snob Ride pointless prize. For your ride to count towards the prize, hashtag your ride name on Strava with #FS2021coffeesnobride (case sensitive) and where you went for coffee (not part of the hashtag). New rule for this year is that you need to include photographic evidence on Strava that you were where you said you went for coffee. The winner (or winners if I feel like having more than one prize) is the person with the most coffee rides.
RULES:
1. Only one visit to a coffee shop counts. Meaning you can't keep going back to the same coffee shop multiple times.
2. Starbucks is verboten! Yes, I'm a coffee snob.
3. Other chains, e.g., Peete's, are OK but once you visit one outlet of a chain, that's it. See #1 above.
4. Same for establishments that have more than one location, e.g., Northside Social. See #3 and #1 above.
5. No "swamp coffee," e.g., 7-Eleven, Wawa, etc., this year. Yes, I'm a coffee snob.
You can visit as many coffee shops in a day as your body will tolerate caffeine, but for each shop to count they have to be separate rides. That means if you want to ride from shop to shop to shop on a single ride, you'll need to end your ride, make sure it logs on Strava, and start a new ride at each shop. Make sure to hashtag each ride.
Previous winners of this prize (you know who you are) are welcome to participate but can't win.
In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker is who rode the least miles.

At first I thought this was a contest for confirmed bachelors: Coffees, no bride

I have flown by several times and never stopped by **Firehook Bakery ** in Alexandria VA until today, and Holy Quaxapalooza! I had no idea what I had been missing!! Great coffee, and phenomenal baked goodies galore! This will now be a regular stop for me, as it has ample indoor space despite its smallish footprint, and outdoor canopy in which to take shelter, and best of all, a bike rack!!!

So confused... there is a #FS2021coffeeride (which is the one in the list under "pointless" on the website) and there's this one. The other one appears to be just any coffee ride, as long as the hashtag is correct. This one has more rules about no repeats, etc.
So are there really two different pointless prizes for coffee? Do I need to go back and change my #FS2021coffeeride hashtags to this one? Afterall, I've been following the rules and everything - thinking they were the same!

I've updated the leaderboard code for this year's competitions. Just waiting for it to go live. I'll submit a modification tonight or tomorrow to ensure that both hashtags are counted this year.

But the two hashtags have different rules - that's what I'm trying to figure out. Do I count every time I stop at my favorite (which might be a chain) or do I count only those individual non-starbucks, etc. rides per coffee snob? One is obviously much easier to attain, if not as fun.

My understanding is that Coffee Snob is the only sponsored prize this year, so those rules will apply. This is really up to the prize sponsors -- I'll leave it to chuxtr to clarify but I think 2021 is the year of coffee snobbery.
