#BikeInfrastructure - The Sister City Friendship Bridge connects the west and east sides of Rockville that are divided by I-270. Opened in 2007, this bike/ped bridge is named in honor of the 50-year sister city relationship between Rockville and Pinneberg, Germany.

Today I rode the stretch along Parkway Drive in Clark NJ, which follows the Rahway River Park system through Union County NJ, as part of the nearly 100 miles of Greenway in New Jersey passing through bustling urban areas — Trenton, New Brunswick, Newark, and Jersey City — as well as quiet suburban settings and more rural landscapes than one might expect. The route includes 36 miles of the much enjoyed D&R Canal Towpath.

The E 90th St bike lane in Yorkville a block from Gracie Mansion. Weekends it ends up being extra double parking for the soccer parents at Asphalt Green.

This dual, separated sidewalk and multi-use trail only goes for a short distance on Sunrise Valley Drive in Reston but it was like a breath of fresh air when I came upon it. Note the bike parking on the left.

Today I really appreciated what a treasure the W&OD Trail is. It was so easy to roll out of bed late, and with no planning or preparation, get a century ride in.

At Dry Mill Rd near mm 34.5. Could have used some clearing before it turned into nasty ice.

#BikeInfrastructure - Sign and sharrows on Washingtonian Blvd in Gaithersburg, MD - Maybe the yellow on the sign will help motorist really notice.

2nd St, SW Cycle Track along Ft McNair near Audi Field. You've got to wonder if anybody bothers to inspect these paving jobs. This one is almost unrideable and it goes for the full block from P to Q.

#BikeInfrastructure - Signs on medical building in Congressional Plaza in Rockville indicating bike parking location, which is usually not easy to find. The bike racks were in an uncovered alley, so it was not perfect for today's rainy weather.
