One of the signs of spring I always look forward to is the crocuses in Rock Creek Park. They add a vibrant pop of color when everything is still drab and gray.

But aren't those daffodils? Still beautiful, I agree!

Do I get extra points for matching my flower to my complexion?

You would think it would keep getting its top cut off by commercial jet liners.

Oh, you're correct! My flower identification skills are lacking.

    3/12/21 - Flower

Took an insurance picture at my favorite corner: snow drops and crocuses, lovely patch across from the school near the house, but it was too close to my home, so I soldier on to find these lovely flowers in Oakton. Enjoy!

I saw daffodils galore but held out for something more unique... “Lenten Rose”

Commonly known as hellebores, the Eurasian genus Helleborus consists of approximately 20 species of herbaceous or evergreen perennial flowering plants in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, within which it gave its name to the tribe of Helleboreae.
