Mural at Mellow Mushroom in Herndon. Although it had today's requisite purple for the scavenger hunt, it's on the side of a pizza place, not a house. :-)

Yes, I'm still looking at yard art. But I have to admit, after I really started looking, it was amazing what some people have in their front yards. This photo is of a stained glass insert in a porch rail on a house in the 300 block of S. Barton Street in Arlington. I thought it was very lovely.

A feast for the art lovers today. We rode down in Manassas. My submission photo (hashtagged for Strava) was the sculpture of the children playing. But ... that was just the tip of the iceberg.

There were three "LOVE" signs, two little trains that had been embellished with painting (kinda like the panda series years ago in DC) and a church steeple that was just lovely. It doesn't look as glowing in the photo as it did to my eyes, but still, pretty. So ... here are just some of the photos.

#PublicArtFinder is a Fish Mosaic Fountain on Maryland Ave & E Middle Lane in Rockville. Commissioned in 2006 by Maverick Mosaics of Vienna, VA

No mosaics at Mosaic but plenty of public art murals. You should check it out. This is just a 'taste'... although now I'm asking myself - what's a mural and what's a cool paint scheme?
