I hear his voice in my head ALL THE TIME when I'm riding my bike, and every time it nudges me in a better direction.
I'm stuck on my fixie this week while my Bianchi is in the shop and coming home from a work errand, I rode it up the biggest hill in the neighborhood in Pete's honor.
This photo he took after a 2015 Friday Coffee Club is particularly hard but I'm really glad I have it.

Thanks for posting. This is a lovely picture but now it just makes me so sad to look at it. Better and happier times.

Now I have my own journey to make to Lake Accotink, to sit at that place and find some sort of closure. Probably midday...
You are loved...
Thanks for sharing the photo and story. I think I may try to make my own pilgrimage after 3 today when work and child duties lift for the afternoon. #dirttherapy

I think Pete was sending me a message today as I walked through Harris Teeter to pick up my lunch.

I am planning to do a tribute ride tomorrow (Saturday 9/5) afternoon. Do I have the spot correct? -- Looks like the curve on the trail just south of King's Glen Elementary School and Clydesdale Rd.

A Journey
A journey, to the western edge of Lake Accotink Trail:
This is a connector to the trail where Danbury Forest Road ends. Steeply graded- evasive action in either direction would not have been easy. Someone had already been there (Bikenetic?) and left flowers. I left my own modest memorial.

I will confess feeling a state of anxiety traveling to this place.

I felt much more at peace afterwards, and could enjoy dancing with the Trek on gravel finishing the loop.

"Pete is with us, man!" I have a mystery as well- my cover photo on FB changed, and I have no idea how I did that! Pete???
