Washington Blvd Trail (Western one) has a "wall" now
The (relatively) new trail along Washington Blvd (from Towers Park to Lyon Park) now has a permanent Jersey wall between the trail and cars! It does feel safer now. (I wonder about potential puddles, but not having a car potentially end up on the trail is nice. The muddy tracks in the past indicated that it did happen. That and the broken car bits).
Thanks to whomever got this done!

Sounds like an improvement. That two-inch curb offered insufficient protection from speeding freeway traffic.

I’ve never felt unsafe on the Route 50 trail in that location. Maybe it’s just me.

I haven't been by there yet, but I imagine it helps with the sense of safety. It would be nice if the jersey barriers were temporary, to be replaced by something more aesthetic.

If you know any talented artists interested in creating a mural on the barriers, I know a guy that will probably pay for the paint.

I would prioritize barriers, tall enough to block oncoming headlights, on the 110 Trail.

Rode it today. A *much* more comfortable experience. Though there is one "clean-up" detail- long exposed bolts where Armco bridges sections of the wall on the other side. Can we trim those back?
