Celebrated banana bread national day on Feb 23 by stopping by Starbucks to get a slice of their banana bread. Can always count on Starbucks!

Sorry, reji - I didn't mean to rat you out, but I was incensed by SteveO's questioning of my post when many other posts have at best implicit references to cycling. I suspect he is targeting me because he still holds a grudge over Warming Climate

No, Marbles is not a bicycle... nor a marble.

Here is a picture of Marbles being ridden as if she were a bicycle. I know it's hard to see the pedals, but it's hard to take a picture of a moving cat.

Pfft...and my saxophone is just like a bicycle, too.

@BikeDavid and I also celebrated National California Day before visiting Margaritaville

#Nationaldays are best spent eating your out-of-town-friend's snacks! I rode my bike to her apartment to feed her cat; when I poked around the cabinets for cat treats, I serendipitously found these to celebrate National Tortilla Day.

Feb 25 is National Paczki Day. What is a paczki, you ask? The sweet holiday of Paczki Day takes place the day before Ash Wednesday. The Polish tradition of indulging in fried dough filled with jams, custards or other sweet surprises dates back to the Middle Ages. A PUNCH-kee or POONCH-key or POOCH-key is traditionally a round Polish pastry filled with fruit and coated in sugar. Those who would be fasting during Lent needed to empty the pantry; this Polish pastry was an ideal way to use up what was in the larder. More modern versions fill the paczki with custard or cream and even cover the outside with a glaze and sprinkles.
Amazingly, Dunkin Donuts carries these! Or maybe they're something like them that was left over from Feb 14....

Feb 26 is National Tell a Fairy Tale Day so I told the tale of the Ugly Bicycle who found true love and acceptance. You can find that fairy tale, and 2 others here: http://www.phred.org/~alex/kenkifer/...umor/fairy.htm
