    Default Beerneuring #16

Jan 19 at Third Street Brewing in Farmville. I had their Drive By Juice, a DIPA. Smells West Coast but tastes more like a NE style with lots of tropical flavors...peach and papaya? All their beers and sodas are brewed here. Pretty cool place and is right on the High Bridge trail.

Lake Anne Brewery - literally a hidden little gem.We has to work hard tofu d this place. I had the Live. Work. Play. IPA. It was a citrusy IPA. The vibe at this place was great, the ladies at the bar fun.

    Remingtonís Run (German Pilsner)

Happy to see another non-IPA or exotic brew at this comfortable spot. This is very easy to drink and pairs well with the tacos served by El Tio.

    Beerneuring #4 Aslin Alexandria

Been there once before, but not for FS.

This place gave a purpose to the new bike lanes on Pickett west of Van Dorn. They are door zone bike lanes, but the parking is taken up by trucks that don't seem to move on weekends or holidays, that I can see. The ride to there, through Ben Brenman Park, Cameron Station, and the Pickett bike lanes, is pleasant enough.

The brewery is large, high ceilinged and decorated with abstract art. It would be nice if there were some actual
    bike parking.

    Aslin Grovestand (Milkshake IPA

Very hazy orange, looks like fresh squeezed OJ. Light white head. Aroma is all citrus - mostly orange, but I think I get a little grapefruit, tangerine. Taste is largely orange at first with some hop bitterness (but not much) then the lactose appears. I'm not quite getting creamsicle, more like some orange soda concoction. Definitely on the smooth creamy side. Goes down quite easy.

Pumpkin Ale - not a hint of haze. Not my favorite pumpkin Ale ever, but a nice change of pace

    Beerneuring #4: Beltway Brewing

Made it to Beltway Brewing. Got a flight consisting of HOV a blonde ale, Honey ale, and Haut Cross Bun a milk stout. Liked the HOV which was quite fragrant and the Haut Cross Bun which was a bit sweet. Also got a 15% rider discount which made it even sweeter!

Penn Quarter Porter - Not too shabby, good rich flavor. $2.50 pours on Friday nights.
In Session IPA- Nice and light after too many porters at said $2.50. A little lower alcohol. I'm not usually an IPA fan, but this one doesn't hit you in the head bitter.

The Mexican Radio - So good! Dark and rich, yet light and easy. Brewed with ancho chilis that give you a great tingle.
I also tried a cask brew, no good. Only naturally carbonated and served at 55 degrees. Tasted like a miller lite that'd been left on the counter open all afternoon. Not my bag.
    Go with the Radio.
