    Default jrenaut #8: Rocket Frog

Cosmic Shift IPA - bitter, as advertised. I like it when things are as advertised.

    Wasser Bohemian Pilsner
Crisp and tart, doesn't have as much of the key lime flavor/punch as I loved from their summer key lime gose. Very refreshing after a long ride.

I'm participating but not doing any paperwork. I think I'm winning.

I had a flight of Malts & Roasts beers.

    - Schwartzbeir: the notes of chocolate & malt came shining through. I could not taste the hint of BBQ sauce, though. But very nice!

    - Dutches Coffee Porter: how did they know that I love notes of chocolate?!! This was the fullest bodied beer of my flight. Me likes!

    - Vanilla Been Hobo Stout: I tasted all three of the advertised notes of coffee, molasses and vanilla. This was the heaviest of my beer flight, landed nicely, like eating a filling snack!

    - Nitro Amber of the Day: this was creamy smooth and I saved it for last as my chaser since it also had the lowest ABV of 4.5%

I also made a new friend who was admiring my bike outside on the patio, so I gifted her the turtle barrett that has resided on my saddle bag since I found it as a road kill many moons ago. Hopefully she will be a future Sticky Fingers race team recruit?

Interesting news from Falls Church! Looks like Solace is coming to the Little City as a collaboration with some DC area restaurateurs.

I washed it down with a Heart and Soul IPA, not brewed on site, I'm kind of tired of hazy, juicy IPAs. It was a nice fad for a month or two but it's time to move on.

You should listen episode 122 of this podcast about hazy IPAs: http://brulosophy.com/podcasts/thebrulosophypodcast/.
