Default Pointless Prize - Ramen Ride

Do you like to bike? Do you like noodle soup? If so then this game is for you because there's nothing like a bowl of steaming noodles to power you on a cold wintry day!

    The rules are simple:

    1. Ride your bike to a noodle soup place

    2. Consume the bowl of noodle soup at that location. This could be a brick-and-mortar place or a food truck!

    3. Take a photo of your bowl of noodle soup

    4. Post a photo here with a note about it

    5. You can visit the same place only once. However, if the place is a chain, you can visit their other locations, e.g., Jinya Logan Circle and Jinya Mosaic District

    6. What qualifies as noodle soup? Pretty much anything that contains noodles in a soup including Ramen, pho, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, Indonesian Mie ayam

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noodle_soup

    7. Not required but if you so desire you can tag your ride as #FS2020soupyride or #FS2020slurpyride

    8. The winner will be whoever visits the most locations

    Happy slurping!

Good idea! So many ramen places have popped up in the past year, including in my neighborhood. I'm very glad to recommend Isshin Ramen on 18th St in AdMo.

I had the Roots pho, and loaded it up with toppings. It was delicious, but didn't destroy my sinuses the way I was hoping it would. The tofu fries were great too! Deep fried anything probably is. I've spotted schvin here before, so I know it's legit (and I've been a couple times before too). I just want to know if they still do the pho challenge. If so, who wants to ride a fasted century with me and then stop by?

Delicious spicy Ramen in Falls Church. I think this place changes its menu in small ways every 6 months and yet somehow always serves the same thing. Quite delicious.

From the menu. I would have ordered, but I like my octopus balls to be cone-shaped

Looks delicious. I may consider awarding extra points if anyone does the pho challenge!

Default Northwest Chinese Food - College Park, MD

    #FSsoupyride 1

Northwest Chinese Food, 7313 E Baltimore Ave., Ste E, College Park, MD 20740

Just a few blocks off the Trolley Trail on Route 1, there is a tiny place that serves nothing that you would find in any other Chinese Restaurant or take out place in the Metropolitan DC area. Seriously, if you haven't been go! (Or let us know - Drevil and I can meet you there. .)

I usually get the "Liang Pi" noodles - it's a cold noodle salad with carrots, cucumber, cilantro, peanuts, wheat gluten, and garlic - lots of garlic in a vinegar-based dressing. (So good they often run out.) They are known for their knife-cut noodles and "burgers" -- but tonight, for a PP, I got the Northwest Chinese Noodle Soup, with knife-cut noodles, veggies, wood ear mushrooms, and lily blossoms in a sour-spicy broth. And they were yummy.
