Yeah Chris! With the amount of miles you do, quadrupled with those tires, well, it's going to be tough for the rest of us

Last night I rode with my Surly Black Floyd 4" slicks, and talk about crazy oversteer. The tires grip the ground so well that even a slight turn of the bars makes it want to dive in. It's a little scary riding with no hands when my fat bike is set up this way. It was nice to see my 10 miles turn into 40 points in the supple ride contest though.

So I was riding along on a Capital Bikeshare bike, and I thought to myself, "Hey, Steve, this ride seems really supple, doesn't it?"
"Yes, it does," I thought back.

My question is, what level of suppleness is a CaBi bike? Which hashtag is correct to use?

For simple folks...measure the width of the tire...

I don't carry my calipers around when I go get a CaBi bike. Nor do I bring one home to measure it there, although I guess I could.
I was hoping someone would just know this.

There should be size information on the sidewall, but eyeballing it, I would say no more than level 2 (and they may be only 1.75" =~ 45mm, which would be too small).

I should know. I will look into it. I think the newer Schwalbes are narrower than the older Kendas which I believe are 26 x 2. A lot of CaBis still have the Kendas. I think most are Schwalbe at this time.

Got it backwards. The Schwable Marathons qualify, 2.0. Kenda Kwest miss the cut at 1.95! Pick a newer bike and you're set!

Well, I'm just going to call all my CaBi rides supple then. Too hard to figure out in the moment.

I think you're right. The ERTRO numbers on the 1.95s are 622-50 which qualifies.

Good to know since I have some CaBi kms (miles/.6) in my future!
