No, it's confusing to all the newbies. And we wish we could make it less so. But we're dependent on Strava for record-keeping, and it makes us go through a bunch of hoops to use it. And to keep from being flagged as spam, we have to follow a bunch of rules from our mailing list provider.

The good news is, it gets a lot easier once the competition actually starts. As long as you keep Strava going (or use something like Garmin and have it sync with Strava), everything is pretty much automatic.

New to Washington DC so this will be my first winter here.

Excited to be able to attempt to bike through winter outside and minimize the trainer. Hoping this competition helps!

Hi everyone, this is Caroline. This will be my second year doing BAFS... First year was 2018, so it's been a bit. Newly returned from Texas/ India, glad to be back.

Glad to be back...captaining the tandem. But not as glad as I am. Trying to steer that thing from my spot in the back was kinda hard.
