    Iíve passed crews clearing them periodically on the Custis in previous years. Definitely county or at least county contracted. They do seem to be piling up this year though.

    Arlington DPR is usually pretty good about responding. Just let them know--they're not clairvoyant.

    Arlington County clears them. I've pinged the relevant people. (parks@arlingtonva.us or kstalica@arlingtonva.us -- the trails one is dead)

    FYI, repairing the W&OD under Wilson gutted the budget for this kind of stuff, which is why (I assume) the leaf collection has been less stellar this year than in the past. Usually, the leaves are cleared the day after I have the thought "this is bad".

    I received confirmation from the WOD park manager that the tree has been cut up and removed.

    Trails were wet but not icy or slushy this morning. The detour at Banneker Park is now in effect at East Falls Church.

    Trollheim had a pretty layer of frost, but nothing menacing.
