Default July 2019 Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee

    Today is the day!

We have a great, action-filled agenda for tonight's Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee, which is joint with the Pedestrian Advisory Committee. We'll discuss: Police! Signals! Micro-Mobility! What we want from Richmond! 2100 Clarendon Blvd (I think we're on the first floor tonight). All are welcome.

Things to thing about before the meeting:
    - The current signals policy is attached on the google group - review it, what questions do you have for Josh
    - What are the 1-3 priority legislative changes we want from Richmond?

    Legislative Priorities:

    1) Fix contributory negligence
    2) Distracted driving ban
    3) allow more camera enforcement for speeding and red light violations

I'll try to attend the first half of the meeting but will need to leave before 8.

    More priorities.

    4) Permit cyclists to proceed through an intersection with a Leading Pedestrian Interval LPI) when walk signal turns white.
    5) require drivers to stop at crosswalks when Pedestrians are in crosswalk, rather than the current yield.
