Default There's a tool for that

Perhaps others can benefit from my ignorance. For years when re-installing chainrings I've dealt quite poorly with the problem of the bolts just spinning. Seems like there were always a couple that refused to lock. I tried flat-bladed screwdrivers and and needle-nose pliers and vice grips, but nothing really worked. Turns out there's a tool for that, and it works like magic: the Park CNW-2 chainring nut wrench.

Kinda looks like one end is just a really wide slotted screwdriver.

Iíve owned that tool for a while. One of the best investments Iíve ever made. Makes removing those nuts so much easier.

I think you just can't see the end on that pic. Mine has different patterns on the two ends, which you can see in the second photo here:

These seem to keep it from slipping in a way that I could never get to work with a screwdriver.

Never pass up an opportunity to add to your tool kit. My last chainring removal/reinstallation didn't require it but it is there in the bottom of my toolbox the next time it does.

That's pretty much what I wrote in my review. For less than $5, buy this now, before you need it.
