    Default FS sighting! (?)

    Was out riding the Arl Loop today, and on the way home this afternoon, coming west along Glebe, just where the (smaller) temporary wood bridge used to be... I think I had my first in-the-wild sighting of FS riders... it was about a dozen riders, and on at least 1, I spotted the green FS band at their ankle... dunno what team it was, though a guy near the front had seriously impressive, long hair flanking his face.
    I felt a fanboy + celebrity-sighting kind of moment as I passed the whole gang, and yelled out "Freezing Saddles!" But perhaps too late to be heard...
    {EDIT: OMG after seeing the pic of drevil's recent fall... I'm pretty certain that was drevil with the hair! (I initially assumed as much as I passed them, but it was only a guess at the time.) Now it really is like having a celebrity sighting in the wild! . }

    Ha, sounds familiar since I haven't had a haircut in 5+ years

    Yeah, it was most likely me and 14 others you saw.

    You should have turned around and joined us on the open-invite Dumpling ride!

    I heard you yell “freezing saddles!” and yelled back but we were too far apart by the for you to hear. We weren’t a team, we were roving dumpling eaters on an excellent ride lead by Komorebi.

    Are those organized rides just posted in the Pointless Dumpling thread? Or, posted somewhere else...?
    While not on any FS team this year, I'd gladly sample dumplings or pastries, etc. (Not a big beer drinker here, so if there's a wine ride or martini ride -- wait, that last one is probably a bad idea...!)

    As in all things, mixing bikes and alcohol is all about moderation. Or having a sober friend with a car and a bike rack.

    Some events are posted on the FS calendar, including all of the weekly coffee clubs, and the dumpling ride. Go to freezingsaddles.org and scroll down to the bottom.

    In addition to being posted on the Google Calendar, many of the events are also posted on the Rides, gatherings, and events thread. I'm planning to organize a pastry ride, date TBD but likely toward the end of the month. All FS friends and participants are welcome to join. Hope to see you there!
