Last one for tonight. Missed packet pickup but got an imperial stout at Hardywood anyway. Goodnight.

Posting for @Beach Felipe who is taking a break from Social Media but wants beerneuring points anyway...

Mad Fox Brewery, Falls Church VA

@beach Felipe had the Kellerbier Kolsch, with a side of steak frits! He seemed to enjoy the crisp & delicate taste of an unfiltered German-style ale with light lemon notes and a semi-dry finish, which was Gold medal winner at GABF 2011 (long before he got into cycling, let alone freezing saddles).

I had the razor burn Mexican chocolate stout....hijole!...so much so that this is my second visit, so it doesn't count for me.

I am very interested in seeing your route for the Richmond brew tour.
I have been to several of those breweries, but never by bike.

At Chubby Squirrel in Fairfax City with fxbooks. I had the Redemption Porter because nitro. It was ok. Had the creamy mouthfeel that you expect from a Nitro pour. Just not a lot of flavor.

At Ornery Beer Company in Fairfax City with fxbooks. I had the Occoquan Oats, an amber brewed with, uh...oats. Pretty complex for an amber with sweet malty notes followed by spicy hops.

Beerneuring while in Banff! Actually in the neighboring town of Canmore. Went to Grizzly Paw Brewing and tried out a flight consisting of the Evolution IPA, Uberwintern Munich Dunkel, Grumpy Bear Honey wheat, and Three Sisters Pale Ale since I figured I should get something named after one of the surrounding mountain ranges. The bartender also suggested the Blue Cow Milk Stout so I had that as well. All were solid. Particularly enjoyed the caramely Dunkel and the smooth Milk Stout. The unfiltered Evolution IPA was also quite flavorful without being too hoppy like many Western IPA's. Instead of thumbs up, paws up!
