We get called scofflaws a lot, but I learned the other day that the term "scoff-law" originally was used against those who got around the prohibition laws and drank alcohol. I don't think it's a coincidence the word has migrated to cyclists, and I'm proud to be a scofflaw (though I mostly obey the law mostly).

I accidentally rode to Gordon Biersch on a sleaze! (Cheers to happy accidents!) I ordered the Brut IPA. It was the perfect end of the day.

Which one? You can go to more than one as long as the beer was made at that location.

This should be a big day... Richmond baby!
Blue Bee cidery experimental flight. Very funky smelling, extremely different than the run of the (cider) mill (pun!) ciders.

Ardent Craft Ales
My favorite is the IPA X (NE style w Citra!!) and the Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout. The latter is perfect as a dessert!
I wasn’t a fan of the Leigh St. There is a fruity aftertaste I’m starting to see in some NE IPAs that turns me off.

Islay Brewing Company
Interesting stuff here, Brown Betty is a very dark cider-y. Grapefruit IPA is grapefruit-y but quite pithy. Chai porter is a little on the light side but the peanut butter porter is suuuper peanut buttery!

Busky Hard Cider. Jalapeño is a bit too dry. Duck Sauce doesn’t really taste like anything Asian. Big place and big selection but underwhelming.

Blonde stouts are always interesting but the DIPA is worth coming back for.
