Default Ride Alexandria Infrastructure Pointless Prize, 2019

As discussed earlier I would like to re do last year's In the Beginning was the deed prize, but this time only infra in the City of Alexandria.

The goal here is to ride each of the included segments as many times as possible. The number of times yu ride your LEAST ridden segment is your "n" and the person with the highest n wins the prize.

Here is the list of segments

The location is followed by the name of the Strava segment.

King Street TCW to Janneys- NB The Deed

King Street TCW to Janneys - SB The Deed 4 (King Street Buffered SB)

King Street Janneys to Cedar- NB The Deed 2

King Street Janneys to Cedar - SB The Deed 5 (SB Bolshevik Lane)

Prince The Deed 6 Prince Street

Cameron Columbus to Buchanon Cam'ron Dash

Van Dorn - EB. The Deed 3

Van Dorn King to Ft Ward King to Ft Ward Hillcrest

For whomever is coding it this year,

Here are the strava segment numbers for the above

    16700352
    16700518
    16700365
    16700527
    16700619
    2489428
    16700441
    7107707

Hozn coded this last year, so the same code but with fewer segment codes should work.

Is there a chance that rush hour rides on these segments could earn bonus points? Evening rush compared to an early Saturday morning are very different rides on these urban roads.

Thanks! I've added this to https://github.com/freezingsaddles/f...-web/issues/52 - we should be able to work it in soon.

I just want to say that I've been working on scoring on this prize all week and I'm pretty sure my score is still zero, so kudos to you lotm for leading us unwittingly into a great ordeal.

In order to promote this Pointless Prize, I have decided to organize a "The Doughnut is the Deed" ride. For those who want to participate, we'll meet at Sugar Shack at 804 N Henry St in Alexandria at 1:30 for doughnuts and coffee on Saturday, January 12th. We'll roll out at 2 p.m. and hit all 8 segments in this challenge and end back in Old Town Alexandria. The entire route will be about 11 miles. If you're looking for a bonus doughnut stop, I'd be open to stopping at Duck Donuts in the Bradlee shopping center near the halfway point of the ride.

Good morning everyone. Iím going to postpone the doughnut is the deed ride this afternoon due to the forecasted snow. The King Street downhill segments are potentially dangerous in slick and snow covered conditions.

I still plan on going to Sugar Shack to grab a doughnut for anyone that wants to hang out for a bit and grab a coffee.
