#FS2019pastryride #44. I went out a little earlier today hoping to get my ride in before the ride, well, I was half lucky. I stopped at Bäcerei Gerd Kroh on Oberdorfelden for a Kirschplunder. While they sold coffee in bags, they didn't serve coffee. My coffee was at Berkersheimer Lädchen in Berkersheim.

#FS2019pastryride #45. And they call the wind Mariah, it's been blowing for a week here. We had the 10°C/50°F being touted for the DC Rock 'n Roll Marathon, so I had to ride at least 26.2 miles. I looped through Höchst and up the Liederbach stopping in Unterliederbach at Die Bäckerei Wagner for my coffee and a Schuhsolhe mit Sahne.

#FS2019pastryride #46. A little less windy this morning, but again with the rain so it was just a short ride. I stopped at Bachbäcker on Grüneburgweg for coffee and butter croissant.

I was born in Frankfurt (US Army base there) -- but we were back in the US I think before I turned 1.
Haven't made it back; someday, I'll have to go see the land of my birth!

I spent my 2018 REI dividend today and celebrated my new Wahoo Elemnt Bolt with a pistachio croissant and coffee at Pluma by Bluebird near Union Market. Can't say the place had any character worth speaking of but the croissant was quite good!

#FS2019pastryride #47. Tuesday Hills ride climbing Großer Feldberg in the Taunus. Of course my camera batteries died when I turned it on at the summit, and I hadn't brought spares. Picked up new batteries at REWE in Schmitten and then stopped of coffee and croissant at Bio-Bäckerei Otto Ernst in Neu-Anspach.

#FS2019pastryride #48. Sometimes a car needs service even if (or especially if) it never gets driven. On my ride home fro the Fiat/Chrysler dealer I stopped in Bockenheim at Bäckerei Burla for a Café Créme (their spelling) and a Buttercroissant, but didn't have my camera with me.

Bikedavid has very kindly loaned me his folding bike for a short trip to North Carolina. I rode it to Union Station this morning and treated myself to an almond croissant from Pret a Manger.

It was my first time on such a machine. Even though I had a heavy duffel on my back it rode very well. I also felt more comfortable riding short sidewalk stretches than I would on a full-size bike.

Thanks for keeping me on the board for Team 5 this week, David!

You're welcome. Nice balancing act there with a croissant on a bike!
