I love my Defrosters. They are the boots I wear when temps are well below freezing. Compared to their other shoes, I agree with the idea that they are larger -- less tight with thicker socks. My S-Works MTB shoes of same nominal size are quite tight with winter-thickness socks but the boots feel fine. I have generally found little correlation between my US shoe size and the claimed equivalent US size. I wear a 13 Asics, Keen (or Clarks 12EE) and 48 (regular) in Specialized shoes.

    Specialized makes great shoes.

For winter cycling boots, I have the old equivalent to the Shimano MW5s, but I can only wear them when it gets down to 20 or below; otherwise, my feet get too hot. The regular sizing seemed to work for me. They have lasted 8 years or so now, probably because they see such limited use. Western Bike Works has them on sale for $180, btw.

Bike for sale you say? I know a guy that likes buying bikes and also just found out that he has a very large bike room available to him.

It is your size. I will email you a pic. It's on CL for $200, but I only paid $300 for it so *for you* I can go way lower, but only because you are the Lumberjack and you're okay

Santa's not bringing me anything - not even a lump of clean, beautiful coal, so in my never-ending quest to keep my hands warm in winter I gave myself a present of a pair of electric gloves. So far, I love them. We'll see if they remain efficacious when it gets really cold.

Nice! Iíve been curious about electric gloves and socks but every time Iíve looked the customer reviews have been all over the place. Looking forward to hearing how they hold up through the winter.

I am pretty sure electric gloves are "cheating".
