Went through inbound with bike traffic today, and everyone seemed to get the idea of going to the right of the poles. The pavement past the light pole could have been extended a bit further down the hill before cutting left, and it's too bad they could not get the same paving contractor that did such a great job redoing the MVT around the TR Island parking lot, but it's a definite improvement.

I appreciate the extra space, but this looks like somebody designed it specifically to cause accidents. Some paint might help, but wow, that looks dangerous.

There's even a standard marking for it.

It's the stairs I fear the most, when I'm biking in the Virginia-bound direction with my kids.

Monday morning there were what looked like a couple of pieces of a “Road Closed” fence (boards with reflective white and orange diagonal stripes) zip-tied to the sign pole facing inbound riders from Virginia. I thought that to be considerate of someone.

Standard markings? If folks complain enough maybe we can get one of those orange cones that fixes everything put in front of the pole.
