    Thanks!
I'll be riding by there tomorrow morning. I think it would be a bad day to try and take the shortcut around that section.

The Wilson underpass on the W&OD went from flooded with about three inches of water covering the trail to almost clear between 3:35 and 5 pm. Several of the Four Mile Run crossing on the 4MRT were still flooded.

    Default 4MRT Issues, Sunday, 5/20

In Glencarlyn a huge tree is down on the uphill slope going to S Jefferson St, clearance is about five feet. Then the tops of the tree blocks the trail running along the hill. The two people in the photo are on the trail trying to get through the obstruction. Just stay on the W&OD.

Then under the GW Parkway near the Potomac confluence, the waters of Four Mile Run have started to recede leaving a nasty debris field.

I think you might have meant the Holmes Run Trail. It is just west of the CSX derailment site. The trail was open this morning.

There is a planned Old Cameron Run Trail https://www.alexandriava.gov/localmo....aspx?id=83038. An RFP was issued last fall for the design work for the trail. No word on when that work would begin. The trail will run from South Payne Street to Mill Road.

More problems on the 4MRT. The creek crossing under Columbia has silted up with gravel and the slab has water flowing over it about three inches deep. There is water flowing under the slab at the north bank, but it's time to clear the rest of the slab again. I used the Arlington Parks number from the "Report a Trail Problem" sticky, but it went straight to someone's voice mail, so I don't know what will happen with my message.

Sounds like it just needs a couple of bikers with shovels. Anyone want to go dig it out?

I want to ride up to Point of Rocks this week, but I'm not sure how feasible that'll be. I've taken a look at the NPS's alerts regarding flooding, and I think I should be able to make it up to mile 42, the Monocacy Aqueduct, on the towpath and then the remaining six miles or so on the roads.

Anyone have any experience on the towpath since the storms/rain?
