Default Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Saturday, March 10

As a reminder for folks - it's that time of year again. Saturday is the DC iteration of the Rock 'n' Roll marathon. Course map and road closure information is at https://rnr30-compgroup.netdna-ssl.c...-RCB-FINAL.pdf

As is usually the case, getting around DC is a bit tricky with the street closures. Getting into DC shouldn't be too bad except if you're coming from the southeast (full marathon course makes use of Anacostia Park as well as both S and E Capitol Streets).

Can you send a copy of this map to the DC Bike Ride folks?

As one of the runners I apologize for the inconvenience! The marathon would make for a fun ride as it goes through so many neighborhoods. It almost covers all 4 quadrants. It doesn't really go into Southwest, just rolls down south capitol, but that could be easily fixed and then it would make for good marketing like the Five Boro bike tour.

It is a fun ride, I've been a lead cyclist with the race three times riding with one of the first five runners.

No need to apologize - it's just another exciting event in the city to plan around...and look at with jealousy. Good luck!

How do the road closures impact pedestrians and bicyclists? I see a lot of information for drivers, but are there any restrictions on pedestrians crossing at all the other intersections? Will I at least be able to walk my bike across the route tomorrow on my way to Capitol Hill?
