I will be in the comfort of my home moving my mouse in circles around the screen while watching something entertaining on Netflix and having a few drinks.

Maybe someone could post each time they do a lap, and I'll have a drink to celebrate (while doing another circle with my mouse)! And I'm not worried about drinking too much tonight. I'm pretty sure I don't need to do a ride tomorrow!!

I rode some Fains Point (faux Hains Point) laps tonight in spirit with everyone doing laps at the actual Hains Point to close out Freezing Saddles 2018!

Here are my pics from tonight. Freezing Saddles was fun, even though I wasn't in the DC area to enjoy it with y'all. However, I will be returning for a week from Saturday, April 28 through Saturday, May 5, so I hope to ride with y'all then!

Congrats to all on finishing the competition. Looks like you had some actual winter this year! I enjoyed following from afar.

Last year's Freezing Saddles was formative in turning the bike into my default mode of transportation.... it now feels silly to get around any other way. I hope at least a few of you had that experience this year, too!

    Steve,

Thanks for hosting us all last night! I can now scratch "riding at HP at night, i.e., dark and cold" off my bucket list. Sorry I couldn't stay until the very end, but I had a very early morning yesterday and again today. Running on fumes (and a triple latte!)

    Cheers,
    Chuck

Hey stranger ! Yes, I really change to bike as my default mode too in the last year or so. Freezing Saddles since Jan. -and all the fun surrounding is - sure helped!

True story: I was walking around Dupont Circle recently, where I normally bike, and found myself walking in the bike lane - instead of on the sidewalk. OOPS!

At least 40 people were there riding around in circles, stopping for cupcakes and donuts and other snacks, and toasting the end of another Freezing Saddles season.

My "registration list" showed representation from 15 different teams (plus a couple of unaffiliated riders, including a child). The Titanium Geraniums had 6 representatives and Heptadecaphobia had 5.

Here's your host, appropriately attired for the occasion.

Reflective gear is great for safety, but sucks for flash photography

Here are the 13 who were there at the stroke of midnight. Darkness, sucky phone camera, toasting beverage and cold hands make these pics pretty lousy. Good luck identifying them.

And, as usual, the flyby is fun to watch. Here's Chris W's

My coworkers also thank everyone who attended for the cookies, gluten free cupcakes, apples and bananas I think they only lasted about 15 minutes once I sent the agency wide email out.

That was a seriously fun night. Thank you Steve O for organizing and bringing the car full of treats.

    Here's my best guess:
Steve O, bikedavid, Bryan Church, LhasaCM, Emm, Steve Sz, jrenaut, Brian Miller, birru, fxbikes, reji, kwark, CBGAnimal

The two dark heads in the background are the question marks.

Josh should get credit for being there, but he wanted to complete the HP segment by midnight and left just a minute or two prior to this photo.

    Steve,

Thanks for hosting. This was my first Freezing Saddles but it won't be my last! Thanks to everyone that brought snacks and rode laps. I'm working on recruiting more MoCo, Maryland people for 2019.
