    Attention KOM hunting commuters! Apparently we're leaving speed on the table by using backpacks and panniers. Saddle packs are the way to go. Or maybe it's just a conspiracy by Big Bikepacker to get us to buy new luggage.

    That's a 20 watt penalty at 40km/hr! I wonder how much of a penalty the trailercycle is...

    They used a very large bike packing saddle bag and frame pack...you might be ok with that. Barely.

    So instead of riding up to 14th st bridge on the MVT, I should just get a pack raft to cross the Potomac/Anacostia from Belle Haven to get up to MoCo?
