BAFS18 Team 13 Meeting Place, As Luck Would Have it
Welcome lucky members of Team 13
First order of business is to join the Team 13 Strava Club. The URL link is here: https://www.strava.com/clubs/335199
Then we need to come up with a team name. It should have something to do with biking, winter or the number 13 stigma (some combination of the themes would be best)
I met Nigel and Peter at the opening happy hour. Hope I didn't miss meeting you if you were there also.
Soon we'll try to arrange a group ride and/or happy hour for us to meet one another and plot our strategy to win BAFS 2018.
Actually, I don't care if we win in points. I would love to win in participation, particularly ride days. Doing sleaze rides of only 1 mile add up as you tack on the 10 bonus points.
camiller - Cathy Miller

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Go 13!
Finally, I get to be on Team 13!
If I remember correctly from The Rules, if you draw #13 it should always be worn upside down. Sadly, I can't figure out how to make this silly PC turn the number on its head.
Looking forward to meeting y'all.

Hi Kevin. I'm anticipating good luck for Team 13 this year. No accidents, or other mishaps.
I guess this can be our team shirt

Go Team!
Did you know that Triskaidekaphobia is the word for the fear of number thirteen?
Here some other Thirteen facts to give you more ideas for team names.

Awesome Tom. How about something like this for team name
Triskaidekaphiles kai cheimon
Lovers of 13 and winter?
Hard to say though when referring to ourselves, but we could always just say Team 13, or translate to english for verbal conversations

Funny I came up with Triskaidekphile as well or Triskaidekphilic. It's not very, uh, catchy, though.

No, don't sell it short, Triskaidekphilic just rolls right off the tongue . . . We could go by T-Kids for short though
Quick intro for me, I live in Vienna and work in SW DC. In July I started trying to get into a healthy lifestyle and lose weight so I started commuting by bike every day so I average 150-200 miles/week. I've got 2 young kids (1 in daycare and 1 in kindergarten) so I've been trying my best to get in sleaze rides on weekends or when I have to stay home with one of them if they're sick. I'm primarily the parent responsible for childcare duties at night so evening activities are hard, but if anyone wants to do an early happy hour is along the Custis or W&OD I might be able swing by for a drink. I've got a little more flexibility in the mornings for a coffee club though.

My info...
Hi, I'm Tom aka FFX_Hinterlands. As you might have guessed, I live in the far Northwestern edge of Fairfax Co in the Herndon Area. This is my second time on Team 13 and my third BAFS. I'm also a Bicycle Advocate and help with FABB and Town of Herndon. I'm actually an official Fairfax County Bicycle and Pedestrian Advocate. I also have a small business (www.slackangle.com) to encourage bicycling at the workplace.
I recently changed jobs and now I have a super short commute (sleeze commute). I have three kids in middle/high school so I'm pretty busy and I've never been to a FS event. Weeknight events are not my friend. I would be up for rides on the weekends or happy hour at one of the nearby excellent breweries. I'm generally free from 7-8AM (oddly enough) as well. For ride purposes: my average ride speed is 11-12 mph on my Handsome Devil and slower (9-10) on my Dutch Bike.

My Info - not being very creative, my name everywhere is the same, Bob James
I retired in August last year. Per week, I still work 8-12 hours doing car delivery for Amazon and about 10 hours custodian duties for my wife's home daycare. I live in Manassas. My 4 adult children all
live in the area (ages 34, 33, 31, 29). I don't like doing events at night, as that time is reserved for spending with my wife (exceptions permitted) and as I only drive when doing Amazon, it takes me a
while in the dark to get home from events near DC by bike.
I don't mind getting up periodically at 4am to make a 7am coffee club somewhere. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Once we get the team all firmed up on our Strava Club and mapped to Freezing Saddles Team Leaderboard, I'll try to coordinate a meeting time and place. It will probably be a coffee or beer event that we ride to on our
own and meet for maximum flexibility in peoples schedule. We'll need to see where everyone lives and I see we have Manassas, Herndon, Vienna so far. Maybe Green Lizard in Herndon, or my favorite place which is Sweet Signatures in Sterling off the WOD.
Though of course, any team member is encouraged to suggest and coordinate a meeting/ride time and place.
