    Default jrenaut #6: New District

Hazy something IPA at New District. I don't know if I'm still getting my sense of taste back after being sick or if this beer is just blah. I'll blame my sense of taste this time because I like New District. We saw some forum/BAFS people. It was good.

I also had their oatmeal stout that they released today. I was pleasant.

    Default jrenaut #7: Hops

Some horrible red at Hops. I've said this before - Hops is like if Ruby Tuesday's made their own beer. It's drinkable I guess. We only stopped because we needed food and wanted another beerneuring point.

I went to Bike Arlingtonís Baklava, Balaclavas, and Beer event at New District Brewing Company. Tried the Follow Your Horizon porter. A bit disappointed. Not the rich porter taste Iím accustomed to. Love the venue and staff but this wasnít doing it for me.

Followed up with the Last Dance oatmeal stout. Much better.

New District brewing. I had two:

Both were good. The Spotwood's Expedition I've had before. It is rich, dark and complexly flavored. I think it's the kind of beer you either like or you don't. I like.

The Ones and Zeroes, for being a brown ale, is surprisingly refreshing. Also a thumbs up.

Starting off my first beerneuring ride of the year with Right Proper Brewing. Thought it would be appropriate to get a beer called Lookaftering. Also got No Depression and Legend of Zo.

Denizens. Got Southside and Pit Pivo. Like the Pit Pivo dark lager with a hint of coffee.

Crooked Run Brewery. Thought I would get a biked theme beer, Cruise Control. It was smooth, crisp, easy to drink like you are on cruise control.

Anxo. They have excellent Basque style cider. Has the thumb of approval from my very picky Basque coworker. Got a flight with Cider Blanc, Transcontinental, NCF, and Happy Trees. All very different ranging from structured to bright to farmhouse.

This is the Pit Pivo Czech black lager. Chocolatey. We had a beer outside in February. Thanks, Al Gore.

    Default jrenaut #9: Three Stars

This is a Natural Mystic DIPA. Three Stars had the wonderful idea to make their DIPA only 8% so I can have one and not die riding the kids home down Kansas Ave. Kudos to Three Stars.

This picture drastically under-represents how soaked we were. We were soaked. Kids took it in stride (best parents EVAR).
