If you're asking me if I'm willing to make outdoor coffee part of the challenge, the answer is "sorry, but no." I know that's part of Mary Gersemalina's Coffeeneuring Challenge but I don't want to include for this pointless prize. I know that's an "arbitrary" decision (as is excluding Starbucks but allowing other chains, including "swamp coffee" such as 7-11), but we the makers of the pointless prizes are allowed to be arbitrary (and that's sort of the point).

But if Great Eskape Café(TM) is a real brick and mortar place that serves coffee, then it counts for the challenge.

As of today I think it is.
Three Rule 5 adherents met alongside the Potomac in the gusty, bitter wind to enjoy some coffee conjured up by our host, cmj7gh and enjoy the sun coming up over the trees downriver.

If someone ... Steve O ... wants to create a separate #BAFS2018outdoorcoffee pointless prize, please ... be my guest!

You can do it Josh! You might have to do it like the Swedes drinking two cups of coffee a day...

NOTE TO ALL WHO DO MORE THAN ONE COFFEE STOP ON A SINGLE RIDE ...

When you #BAFS2018coffeeride it counts as ONE on the leaderboard regardless of how many coffee shops you visited. If you think you should be in the running for the fabulous prize to be awarded to the winner and want credit for a second stop, you need to document it and let me know. If not, I'm going by what's on the leaderboard on the FS web page. If you want to be absolutely sure you get credit for every single coffee shop, the thing to do would be to make them separate rides. In other words, save the ride to the first coffee shop as one ride. Re-start our Garmin (or whatever) when you leave and save it again at the second coffee shop (or end of the ride if you're done caffeinating). Repeat as needed.

Playing around on the Pugsley today looking for some snow to ride. I stopped at Das Waldtraut at Oberursel Hohemark next to the Tourist Information office. Just had a coffee and kept on riding uphill to the Römerkastell Saalburg. On the way down I stopped at Bäckerei Flach at the Europakreisel in Bad Homburg for my Mardi Gras doughnut (and another coffee, but doesn't count since I already stopped at another Flach location.

For today's #fs2018dirtybiker ride I headed back to the Taunus on my Pugsley hoping for some snow. I did a little frozen mud along the Nidda then to Oberursel, up to Saalburg and down to Bad Homburg.

For the CSS Hump Day Coffee Club ride, Roger requested a loop to Offenbach and then over to Rebstock Park, but had to be back around noon (leaving at 10:15 am). We started fine but were on a nice gravel path in the woods and went about two mile too far east. We swung back along the Main and stopper at Café & Gelateria La Luna at Offenbach Hafen. We scrapped heading to the park and recrossed the Main on the Flößerbrücke and just rode the series of Anlages to Eschenheimer Turm.

Just a short extension of my ride home from German class and lunch at the CG stopping at Brühmarkt at Bockenheim Warte for a filter coffee. Nothing to write home about, but I did pick up a 500 g package of their Dante's Inferno Blend whole bean coffee.

Friday Coffee Club ride, Hanau edition. I rode with Carlos along the Main stopping at Central Café & Bar on Hanau's Marktplatz for cappuccinos and lunch. We ended up with a meandering route back to Frankfurt since I was exploring, having only ridden the general route once before, only four unplanned extra miles.
