Okay I will not sleep well at night after that, but this looks like a lot of fun. Lacking the creativity, will volunteer for any character, outside of a rat which apparently is Steve O's.

You guys look at the characters and pick what works for you. I've seen a couple of readymade Bebop and rocksteady costumes online but they look hard to ride a bike in.

I've been trying to figure out how to pull off a respectable Krang without sinking much time or money into it but also not being quite that naked.

and grappling with the fact that a foot clan member would not require much work AND bonus not look totally stupid.

I'd like to do this ride...but don't know much about TMNT except pizza! Would one of you be able to give me and my bike a ride out there?

You could dress up like a pizza.

You could dress up like a pizza. A female pizza.

the foot clan relies on strength in numbers, and had female members

You know.... there is something hilariously ironic about a bicycling advocate willingly dressing up as a bike ninja.
Besides, in all honesty it would be among the easier things to ride in.

Well I'm sold on being a Foot Clan Ninja! Now I just need to see if I can eat the registration costs. A trade-off on doing the Climate Ride was I promised to keep that sort of thing to a minimum this year. Maybe I can ask for it as an early birthday present? (Only 64 shopping days to go!) Or I suppose I could skip the Cider Ride...

One needs to register for one of the three distances - 32 miles, 53 miles, 67 miles.

The only "official" group ride I have ever done was 13 colonies, which was only 15 miles I think. I have done donut rides, BobCo rides, a Potomac Pedalers Loop ride, and a CBG beginners ride, but all were at what folks would consider a pretty relaxed pace, I guess. My cautious, gradualist sense says to just register for the 32 miles. OTOH the price is the same anyway, so I would like to go longer. OTOH I would hate to miss Old Bust Head because I am taking so long. I would also prefer to ride with a group, and suspect groups at my pace (the other day I managed to do 14th Street bridge to 4MRT at 15.4 MPH, wind at my back I think, but usually I do my whole commute at 11 to 13MPH) will be easier to find on the shorter lengths.

Your suggestions (other than reminding me of rule #5 ) appreciated.
