King St and Highland Pl red light runner

I was nearly hit a half hour ago (~6:45) by a car which sped up when the crossing light went red. I was nearly hit and got the plate number. The speed limit is 25mph from Masonic Temple to Quaker Lane, but enforcement seems to be rare. I will call Alexandria traffic tomorrow, but warn anyone pedaling up King Street to practice extra caution - even when a crosswalk light happens to function properly. I should not be feeling a vacuum draft as a car passes!
