Yeah, I've been foregoing a helmet sometimes, on the theory that it may actually cause accidents by giving me heat exhaustion.

But my point here is that an ANSI class 2 reflective vest can be worn year round -- over a bikini top or bare chest in the summer, and over a heavy jacket in the winter. I love my Proviz jacket, but it is suitable for a much narrower temperature range.

You know... It is much cooler in the woods. Your new bike is crying because it has not yet been on singletrack!

But there's so much singletrack not under tree cover if you want to work on your tan.

GAH! I need to check the forum more regularly!

What about this coming weekend? I was thinking of a Saturday ride at Schaeffer in MD.

Works for me, pending word from Casey.

On a side note, I am totally cool because I saw 311 a few times when they were still just the most popular band in Omaha opening for the most popular band in St. Louis, The Urge.

Of course, my favorite was the most popular band from Springfield, IL. Video is from a show that I went to over 9 years ago. I'm the guy shouting "Bruce" at 2:45 mark.
