    Cool Dirty Crit Aug 20th 🚲 🦄 🍺

    It's Back - DIRTY BIKENETICRIT 2017
What is it? a USAC-sanctioned Road Crit raced on private dirt & gravel farm roads. With beer.
NOTE: Some details & fields subject to change. Watch for updates.
    Sunday 20 August
Please note: no dogs allowed on the property (landowner's rule, not ours.)
Course is a 2.4-km rolling loop on light gravel & hardpack dirt farm roads (& one short paved section). Gravel tires 32mm+ strongly recommended. Private property; open to pre-ride only on race day. Map: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/14160592.
USAC Road Crit rules apply. Road upgrade points (except Men's 2 to 1; see upgrade rules). Flat bars okay. For handlebar rules, see Rulebook, Ch. 1. Front & rear brakes required; no fixed gears. Pit w/ free-lap rule. Combined fields scored separately for podiums. USAC license required (except Tandem & Anything Goes); must show. Men's 123 & Women's 123 fields are MABRA BAR events.
Pre-reg bonus! Call-ups for first 20 pre-registered in each combined field.
Pre-Register at http://bikereg.com/dirtybikeneticrit (service fee applies). Use your Road Category (Cross Cats do not apply); Masters use the age you turn in 2017. Women can race in Men's fields one Road Cat down. Second race $15. Day-of race $10 late fee, except Junior fields. USAC 1-day license ($10), available only for Road Cat 5 Men & Cat 5 Women. Cash only on race day. Rain or shine! No refunds.
No license required in Tandem and Anything Goes. Anything Goes is all ages, all bikes—uni, fatti, bromli, pedi, handi, recumbant, trailer, whatever—with costume prizes; only $15; or $5 for kids 1-8. Tandems will line up in front of Anything Goes.
Under 18 note: parent/guardian must sign USAC race waiver, on site or available on USAC's website.
Best Team Prize calcluated on 3, 2, 1 points for Men's & Juniors' podiums; 6, 4, 2 points for Women's fields. So recuit your teams! Prizes created by Phoenix Bikes Youth Racing Team!
Course open for preview 7:00 am and between races at Officials’ discretion. Sign-in opens 7:00 am & closes 15 minutes before each start. Report to start staging 10 minutes before start time. Warm-up on camp roads only, not fields.
Special note! This race is a grotesque mongrel. Roadies: Bring stout wheels & work on your gravel cornering; 32mm+ gravel tires recommended. Cross racers: You might be Cat 3 Cross but Cat 5 Road, but you must use your Road category: You can enter any Cat 5 field you see, including all Masters. Cat 5 Beginners is really for those who are Cat 5 in both Road & Cross. Cat 4/5 is better for experienced cross racers (say Cross Cat 4 or 3) who are still Road Cat 5 or 4. But the choice is yours. Women: We've got separate podiums for Cat 4/5, Cat 3, and Pro/1/2/3. Plus, USAC rules allow you to race in Men's fields one Cat down, so you can pick up a second race if you're a glutton for punishment.
Beer Garden & Food: We're bringing the Cross party to Road racing. Java Cruiser will have incredible breakfast sandwiches & BBQ all day, Acme Pie will have pie--need we say more?).
The Clare & Don's Beach Shack Beer Garden will have beer on hand, with your cash donations benefiting MORE's local trail-building projects. So don't just race & ditch--stick around, have a beer, and enjoy heckling the other races!
Directions: 6100 Antioch Rd, Haymarket, VA 20169. From I-66, Exit 40 for Haymarket, south on US-15 for 100 yds, west on VA-55 for 0.9 mi, right on Antioch Road for 0.6 mi, left into Camp Snyder. Park in large lot on left.
Sorry, no dogs or other pets allowed on the property (there's wildlife to protect).
