Wednesday afternoon I was heading east in the King St bike lane down the hill at about 4:45pm. As it was more or less rush hour traffic was moving slow. At the intersection of King and Upland I was right hooked by a car turning into Upland. I had enough time to slow to what I estimate was less than 10 mph before I impacted the right rear quarter panel of the car. Driver stopped in the middle of the intersection. I hit the ground and skinned a knee and an elbow. I called 911 myself and requested police and ambulance. I asked that a police report be written despite the police assessing there was no severe injury and property damage did not exceed $1500. I plan to go to APD and get a copy of the report. I was back on the bike Thursday morning. I was VERY lucky.
