Default Avenger 58cmroad disc frame + Whisky No 9 Fork

**Only the frameset is for sale (not full bike).**

    $350

Great condition. This has been a wonderful frameset, but I moved the components over to a new titanium frame and sadly don't have room to N+1 this.

A few small chips in paint near BB/DS chainstay and rub marks, but frame and fork are in excellent condition (frame is painted, not raw; fork is raw / partially painted).

Frame is a Hongfu FM079 (Avenger is the trade brand/team for Hongfu).

    Fork is a Whisky No 9, 15mm thru-axle 1 1/8 - 1 1/2 tapered (includes the Maxle Lite axle). 240mm of steerer tube.

    - Size 58 frame (see attached geometry image)
    - fits 27.2mm seatpost
    - 135mm QR rear dropouts
    - Frame and fork disc-brake post-mount for 140mm rotors (140 may be maximum for frame? I should have an adapter for using 160mm with the fork).
    - Stock derailleur hanger replaced with Wheels Mfg (better/stiffer hanger).
    - BSA (standard threaded) bottom bracket
    - Internal cable routing.
    - If I recall correctly frame weighs ~1100g.
    - Frame (and fork) comfortably clears 25mm tires on wide rims, might clear 28mm tires on wide rims, didn't try it.
    - No, there are no rack/fender mounts; it's a road race bike.

Includes frame, fork, headset, seatpost clamp.

Price drop. New forum price $220. Make this gone, please!

@Judd, you want another bike project, right? ;-)

I think Judd does need a new CX weapon.

I'm curious about those unbranded rims though. What are they?

This is a road bike, though. (Edit: Oh, I think you knew that.)

Those are carbon bike kit rims. They are not bad, though a little heavy (almost 500g) and a little narrow (~17mm internal). Someday I will replace them, but it was a decent budget carbon wheelset (~$500) so I don't have any regrets. (I am using them now on my ti road bike.)

Maybe @anomad wants a carbon road project?

I'll pass. But its another smokin' good deal for someone. I'm downsizing too since I have no space here, and all I do is work, if anyone wants a Suzuki DR 650 (Cogent/Acerbis/Giant Loop) or an old Jeep Cherokee or...just spamming your thread.

This winter I built up that Nashbar carbon fiber 29er frame/fork. In reality, lightweight is pretty silly for me. I just toodle along the bike paths with it at low speeds. Super comfy and effortless to climb with though. Maybe I should leave it at my Dad's where there are actual trails to ride??

I'll throw in a free wheelset build too! :-) Of course, that is only saving you a six pack at recent rates, but BDOP dropped their WTO40 wheelset down to $750 which is a fantastic value for a 1550g 40mm carbon, disc-only wheelset. I have built one set and can confirm they are really nice.
