But then we'd have to change our name and update our mission statement.

What is our mission statement? Shred the gnar and gleam the cube? Get Judd to build up his Ti frame posthaste?

Mission statement: shred the gnar, avoid goslings and bring "gleaming the cube" back into popular vernacular. Because, unlike fetch, it's so going to happen.

I think most of the regulars are not riding longer distances due to cross season. Once cross season is over, I plan to start back up on Wednesdays.

The L!G!A! ride p/b District Cycleworks has been discontinued, a victim of its own success.

Here's the message the organizers sent out at the beginning of October:

The last two editions of Lights! Gravel! Action! have brought to light some serious safety concerns about the ride, and its sustainability as we transition into shorter days and participants looking for a faster, training pace. Unfortunately, none of the leaders of L!G!A! have confidence that the ride can occur in its current state while also ensuring the safety of all riders, as well as other users of the towpath.

We will no longer be hosting Lights! Gravel! Action! and future editions are canceled. Perhaps we will be able to devise a different format or structure for the ride in the future that is sustainable and safe; if you have thoughts on this, please feel free to Reply All and let us know. We've enjoyed the good riding and great company (and Oreos) over the past two years, and will certainly see you all out on the road (or trail, or gravel, or dirt, or grass).

    Dislike, but understandable.

The official L!G!A! rode at a pretty fast pace and the group was typically largish (10+ riders). I wouldn't want to be a pedestrian on the towpath in the dark when they rolled by.

The rogue J!G!A! group rode at a friendly pace, but petered out during the several week period where it was super hot and muggy. I don't see a ton of appeal in riding the towpath in the dark but could possibly be convinced otherwise. I'm looking forward to doing this again in the spring. It's a scenic ride and we got to see a ton of ducklings, goslings and deer this year.
