Gee, that's a day I will actually be biking to class so I can qualify.

Great! We've got to beat those Croatians, who have apparently won the contest two years in a row.

Well, I'm the sole registered rider so far in Frankfurt. Last year we had about 10 in Kyiv.

I signed up, even though I found the sign up to be a bit onerous.

I seem to be the sole registered rider in DC. (They asked where I biked to, not where I biked from, so I'm registered in DC rather than Bethesda.)

As of now, there are half as many people from the Austin/Round Rock MSA (pop. ~2 million, supposedly a Mecca of bike culture) as there are from College Park, MD (pop. ~30k, "you have to have a car to live there").

No, I did not register in both places.

And there isn't even a winter in Austin.

    Hey, we have four seasons!

    December, January, February, Summer

Trying to explain that I would ride in 10 weather usually begins by first explaining "10" to people who have seen snow once. I'm the only person in the UT Cycling Club who owns lobster mitts. When they complain about the cold, it's usually because it's 45. I think I own more merino than the rest of the team put together.

Seriously. They complain. When it's below 45.

    Kids these days.
