It is a great event and the bunches become very small (or possibly the peloton extends to 3.2 miles). Having ridden it a couple of times, it thins out to be pretty much riding with a couple of friends.

Great cause and a fine time.

I did a lap with my then 5 and 7 year olds last year. It is most definitely not a race.

    K. I'm in as long as it isn't nixed by significant other. Looks like a good way to move up a bit toward 5,000 a year from the 4,500 I always seem to end up around.

Do it, Husker! You can ride as many or as few laps as you like. There's coffee and snacks provided and also a bunch of quality raffle prizes.

There was a group of speedsters last year but it was mostly solo riders or folks in small groups. I rode side by side with a friend last year without issue except for Steve O being all slow and in the way for the lap he did on a unicycle.

Yup, I'm planning on it, just emailed the girl and haven't heard no yet so I'm assuming it's okay.

Although the day I start following the recommendations of someone who rides 9,000 miles a year is the day I etc.

The individuals I have bamboozled into riding centuries, out of state adventures and riding way more miles than in previous years are all mostly happy to have been bamboozled.

Definitely not a race. We even had time for multiple bike changes.

I thought about this a year ago and didn't go. Does anyone know how soon before the date one can still register? If the weather is reasonable I would like to do a few laps.
