And I got through it last night in the pouring rain without an issue.
Sorry to hear this but two things: 1) you've said elsewhere that the welt is the size of a kiwi, so which type of fruit is it?; and 2) if you went to HDCC, this would not have happened, just sayin'.

Knowing NPS, it might take a 5 years after deciding to do this to get it o the schedule. And deciding might take another 5.

Maybe a little pirate sand painting is justified?

Watched a guy wipe out on the Trollheim on my commute home. I was coming down the hill from the TR bridge. He passed me going pretty fast and then low sided out as soon as he hit the wooden part. If I had to guess he was going 18-20 mph. He got up quickly and said he was alright. He was definitely going too fast for the wet conditions, but that’s not always well known.

Today, 5:35pm wooden trail section coming down off Roosevelt bridge slow speed probably not more than 10mph, I skidded on the slippery wood surface and fell, a cyclist following had to emergency stop and fell behind me, sorry and thank you for asking how I was afterwards. I did the splits so I have some muscle pain in my thighs and bruises on my left knee and right elbow.

Dang. Sorry about your crash and I hope you recover quickly. The National Parks Service is doing a trail safety study with Volpe currently and at the last Stakeholder meeting on Saturday the group recommended that Volpe do a site visit to Trollheim since it takes so many people down even in situations where people are going slow and not turning.

I hope that the muscle pain goes away soon. I fell there last year and hurt my shoulder going like 5 miles an hour. You are likely to wipeout if you break or twist your wheel all of the sudden. I thought the pain was going to go away soon, but it took more than a month to heal, so best wishes.

I have witnessed 3 people wipeout over there this year, so I am sure there's tons of people getting hurt there all the time.

I have not done a statistically valid poll, but I have asked in various meetings. Off the top of my head I would guess more than 1/2 of the people I know who ride the Trollheim regularly have wiped out at least once. (I have.)

Imagine if 50% of drivers who used the GWMP crashed at a particular location along the parkway. Think they would take action?

Broke my leg, need an mri to confirm if I need surgery, and keep off the bike for 6 weeks. Looked on X-ray like when you hit the fender of your car and it makes a divot, so they may need to go into the top of my tibia to push the divot back out.

The Chariot hitch on the left rear axle chewed up the surface of Trollheim, apologies for the splinters.

Bob has a story he tells about racing Cyclocross and an entire field crashing... You'll have to ask him about it.

Needless to say guy on the left started accellerating just past the hump on the TR Bridge while I started saying out loud "Don't wipe out on the bridge. Don't wipe out on the bridge..."

It seems Dewey was still on the ground and had locked his brakes up due to the Cabi riders that had come to a full stop in the trail, confused about directions, and guy on the left then slid into Dewey...

After said photo, I stayed to ensure that Dewey was cogent -- eye contact at least, asked if he was hurt or needed any help. Did not know that was you Dewey...

Passed guy on the left by TRI asked if he needed any wrenches or anything.

    Trollheim+2.
