I was really sorry I missed this past Weds, especially with so many friends racing (and winning - Yay Teresa!). Hope to make the next one(s). A couple of pro tips for anyone else planning to go - the garage is always colder than people expect it to be, especially if you're standing around, so wear or bring extra layers of clothing. Also, bring along some cash for beer, wine, Sol's pies or pie slices, and/or grilled cheese sandwiches. These races are fun to watch and you'll probably see a lot of friends there!

I'd say it was about 50-55 degrees down there. This was my first time racing in this event, and it was really fun even with crashing twice. There was quite the beer selection too, so I'll definitely be back for the remaining weeks.

I was kind of bummed I missed this past week's race, too. Standing outside all day in the wind did me in, though and I wanted to be WARM and surrounded by puppies.

But this week, the weather is going to be AMAZING, so I will be there with an appetite for pie and beer. I will try to remember to bring cowbells, too so that I can cheer everyone on. (No crit racing for me, I am too delicate to crash on concrete!)

If anyone wants to caravan up from Fairlington/Shirlington, let me know.

Bumping this up. Tonight is the second to the last set of these races for this year. Come join in the fun, whether racing or watching. Also, more cowbell needed! (I forgot to bring mine today.) This is at 2345 Crystal Drive, 4th level down, from about 6:30 to 930 pm. Grilled cheese sandwiches, Acme pies, and beer and wine are available for sale too. Come root for forum and other friends!
