The advantage of the word "we" is that I can propose something without making any commitment to actually do something. It seems that my years in the bureaucracy have not been for naught. ;)

Geez... I am not even participating this year.
Next year, we just need to establish a pointless prize for the post exhibiting the most sanctimonious whine or the most ridiculous bloviation.
I can't imagine the sample selection issues introduced by advertising this survey on this forum.
I think the actual point is that if, as an extreme, all of those hit from behind deaths occurred on rural roads, the study might be worthless when it comes to a discussion of urban bike lanes.
I'll just leave this right here:

Hopefully things will turn out better for FS2020 given all the rancor on the other thread.
And it only took 25 years.
Methinks you took my comment more seriously than it deserved. It was merely intended as snarky pedantry.
But wait a minute....
Don't reflectors and reflective gear interact with special gear called headlights that are put in cars?

His name is Bruce. Did fine work on my steel frame as well.
Not that this really bothers me, but why did they put the traffic light at that location on Wilson rather than just at the intersection with Manchester. BTW, this would not be a "mid-block" crossing...
Well, it's pretty easy to hide a motor in a fully-faired recumbent.

I assume that carbon bikes are not allowed to participate.
And his seat is too low.
I was going to say the same thing about integrated brakes/shifters.
Will there be cones?
When I altered the size of the flood rather than its likelihood, my original "analysis" actually did assume zero rise.
The website is very opaque on the assumptions underlying the different scenarios. I don't know how to get predictions for a zero rise.
Here's an interesting graph from the EPA:...
Thank you for that website as it proves my original statement. If you fiddle with the assumed level of sea level rise you will find that there is a 65% chance of an 8 ft flood by 2050 under a...
I wasn't suggesting thinking from the driver's perspective as an act of empathy, but rather as way to avoid being hurt.
As far as the equal rights and responsibilities stuff, do you think of...
Sorry, I apologize, but I still think Bikesnob's statement is counterproductive. Judging from Streetview, this looks like a substandard sidewalk only going south from the intersection.
I suggest...
