I sent an email to the Rock Creek Superintendent about the reopening date. I received this reply today:

One small correction to this. There is now a protected bike lane on 15th Street starting at the Tidal Basin.

I still catch myself slowing down to check out the license plates on cars parked next to the bike lanes
