Been away for a while. So, apologies if asked and answered. Is there any update on snow removal plans for this detour?

I don't cycle on even freshly plowed trails (ice phobia) but plowing can cut...

I tend not to ride on anything other than the most untraveled of streets (11th and 13th St N. in Arlington, for example) without a bike lane. Dooring is an issue, but not nearly as intimidating to me...
  4. Richmond police say they can't stop cars from parking in bike lanes

File another one under "Local government support for cycling is often lacks substance." Particularly sad because they had a chance to fix it and chose parking over the lane they had purportedly...

    Near miss on Eads Street

A crash did not happen but it was a near miss at a dangerous intersection.

Every morning at the corner of S. Eads Street and 23rd Street South in Crystal City cars routinely "block the box" by...

    Don't vary the walk time

And this is precisely my beef with the buttons. If they help summon a signal change for pedestrians and/or cyclists they are useful. But there should be no difference in signal timing based on...

    Beg Light Article

This is mostly about pedestrians, but I think the logic applies to cycling as well. It is going to be a long haul to get across the idea that roads are for everyone, not just motorists and cars....

    North Carolina Cyclist Mayhem

An example of why some of us don't feel comfortable "taking the lane." Apparently the cyclists did everything right but the motorist was in a hurry.
