After your story about feeling the e-bike is basically overpowered for your abilities, my hunch is you'll be riding this old-new bike a lot. Congrats, can't wait to see it in person!

So today was the Bianchi's inaugural commute, inaugural Coffee Club, and inaugural "extra riding home beyond commute route"...
Took PYT to Braddock Metro, over to Slater's Lane, to MVT, to Crystal City connection to Waterpark, up to Long Bridge Park, back to Eads, 4MR, home.
All in all, pretty enjoyable, terrible saddle not withstanding! I was happy to find the steep hill at the Waterpark didn't spank me.
However, as I was planning to circle Long Bridge Park, I got to the end of the long promenade to find the left-turn continuation now closed for construction. So I had to do a U-turn, onto the pea-gravel section... And, didn't slow enough... and sadly, the bike slid right out from under me! Luckily I didn't go down with it... somehow, I got a foot out of the toe-cage, caught myself with a little one-leg hopping squat, but the bike slipped out of my hand and the fork hit the gravel -- so that near-mint, 27-years-in-storage purple paint job now has its first, all-too-soon road rash :(
