Did anybody sense a disturbance in the force this morning about 0815?
I rode Crystal Drive southbound from 18th Street and didn't encounter any autos in the bike lane. I'm not sure what is going on.

No pics yet, but watch for mud and debris on creek-side trails, esp. Four Mile Run. This is just down stream of Mt. Vernon Blvd bridge.

Once again two warning signs for east bound drivers on S Glebe Rd were blocking over half the width of the 4MRT by the Long Branch bridge (9/11 about 12:30 pm). I didn't bother to Lumberjack them this time.
It might be good for the County to look at their policies for those types of signs. The sign in question could have gone up 50 yards further west on the grass.
The crew putting it up declined to show the MOT or identify the project they were putting up the signs for when I spoke with them.
As of today, PG Parks/M-NCPPC are still inspecting trails for damage following Thursday's storm. I've seen several bridges that appeared damaged from the flooding/debris.
PG Parks/M-NCPPC posted the following advisory yesterday closing all trails in the Anacostia River Trail system:
All trails in the Anacostia River Trail system are CLOSED until safety inspections can be completed
