I learned to ride when I was 25. I had a date and when he asked what I wanted to do I said "I want to learn to ride a bike." So we went to Georgetown, rented a bike and he held on to the bike while I rode wobbly up and down the path near the Watergate. Within 2 hours I was riding steady! I have been biking ever since. Recently I've started riding for transportation not just recreation because my mom had a stroke. I took her to GW Hospital but the parking was $22! I decided I would ride to see her daily and save $154/ week. I've been hooked on urban cycling ever since.
