Just go Paleo. Bring a huge slab of ham strapped to the back of your jersey. Nothing else. Eat the way real cavemen used to eat when they would go on...
I can see someone breaking a finger on a handlebar from a passing cyclist, although it's kind of a freak accident. If you swing your arm back at just...
I saw "Bicycle Dreams" too. It made me feel very uneasy about the basic concept of the solo race. It's just as much a sleep deprivation contest as it...

I'm reading different forecasts on NBC Washington and the Weather Channel. NBC is still saying that the storms could roll in between 4 and 8 pm. But...
Should I connect a large sail to my bike? And water skis to the bottom of my tires? Maybe a lightning rod on the top of my helmet, with a ground wire...
I used to ride bikes a lot in grade school. Then no cycling for many years, until 2008. I started swimming in 2004 for exercise and stress relief, but only in the summers. In 2008, I decided to train for a triathlon. That meant running and cycling. I used stationary bikes that winter. I bought a triathlon bike in 2009 and a mountain bike that fall. Even with two bikes of my own, I'm a fan and frequent user of Capital Bikeshare bikes.
I appreciate that cycling can help improve local transportation and the environment, but I like cycling for the convenience, for the health benefits and mostly because it's fun. I train for and participate in triathlons and running races, but I also like touring the area on casual bike rides too.
