I usually ride between DC and Old Town to drop off/pick up my kid, and then drive home to Annandale. No school tomorrow, so I'm thinking of doing a long ride home. Google suggests Custis Trail to W&OD, then down Prosperity Ave. at Dunn Loring Metro to the Cross County Trail. I've only been on the Custis once (middle of the night, walking, about 12 years ago), and never been on the W&OD. Will I have a decently easy time navigating this so my 20 mile ride doesn't turn into 30? Any alternate recommendations?
