I'm Irish born and raised and moved to DC 14 years ago. When all other Irish wanted NY, I was drawn to Washington DC. It's my favorite city (and my home). I wish there were more bike lanes on my commute home as drivers are not very considerate of bikers in this city but it wont stop me on my bike! Expanding my horizons this year and hoping to travel more in the USA but will always love going home to see family. DC is a very transient city so I'm always losing friends who move away again so hoping to join some clubs and make new friend, and get fitter in the process!
