After easily 25 years without a bike, picked up a throttle-less pedal-assist ebike March 2018. Pretty much for office commutes & weekend leisure rides, while introducing some overdue exercise; it quickly became my main pastime. Managed to lose @50 pounds accumulating the miles. Covid lockdown then eliminated my work commute (and the extra miles I'd tack on) and I also allowed dating to take back my biking time. Now I'm attempting to get the old habits back once again, and see if I can have 2023 look like 2018 or 2019 did, biking-wise!
